OPENROAD FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES RECIPIENTS OF ITS INAUGURAL 25 IN 25 GRANT INITIATIVE
The 25 Metro Vancouver and Greater Toronto organizations were selected for their outstanding work in community, education, and environment, each receiving a $25,000 grant to be distributed throughout 2025
Richmond, BC, August 13, 2025 - OpenRoad Foundation, the registered philanthropic arm of OpenRoad Group, is proud to officially announce the 25 recipients of its inaugural 25 in 25 grant initiative, launched earlier this year in celebration of OpenRoad Group’s 25th anniversary. With $625,000 in total funding – 25 grants of $25,000 each – the campaign supports registered non-profit and charitable organizations across Metro Vancouver and Greater Toronto whose work aligns with one or more of OpenRoad Foundation’s three key pillars: Community, Education, and Environment.
“We’re honoured to support these 25 organizations that are making such a big impact and difference in people’s lives,” explains Christian Chia, CEO of OpenRoad Group and Chair of OpenRoad Foundation’s Board. “These grants reflect our ongoing commitment to investing in meaningful, community-led change. We also want to thank the communities that have supported us in the past 25 years and look forward to driving forward even more positive change in the years ahead.”
The 25 grants were decided by a group comprised of OpenRoad Foundation’s board, advisory committee, and Shea Studler, OpenRoad Foundation Manager. Successful grant applicants were required to have CRA non-profit status and align with one of OpenRoad Foundation’s three key pillars - Community, Environment, and/or Education.
